ABOUT STATE MISSIONS
A Mandate of Purpose
We Are Charged With:
Spreading the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, creating safe havens for spiritual development, the study of God’s work
WHAT HAPPENS TO STATE MISSIONS FUNDS WHEN IT IS Received AT BAPTIST HEADQUARTERS
- Mortgage/rental – payment for the headquarters office
- Utility Expenses – includes electric, water, gas, telephone expenses
- Operations expense – internet services, all social media, web expenses and postage
- lawn care expenses, janitorial services
- Administrative – salaries, health and dental insurance support, annuity match
- Office supplies, printing services, periodical and newsletter expense
- Support for our objectives as needed
- Disaster support supplement as needed
- Chaplains’ certified Endorsement program
- Workshop and training for church leadership
SUPPORT STATE MISSIONS
MEANS: State Missions represents our response to the spiritual and physical needs of our state. Throughout our history this has taken the form of evangelism, Christian education, disaster relief, and providing shelter for those in need. This responsibility of State Missions is extensive because our response is to the needs of communities throughout all 100 counties in the state of North Carolina.
State Missions is the engine of the General Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, Inc. let us join together in committing to fund our State Missions Objective.
- Practice consistent giving
- Commit to give a certain amount to State Mission annually
- Partner with GBSC in the monthly 750 Plan (A commitment of $100 per month)
